A challenging day out of civilization and into the heart of the breathtaking Ramon crater. Its a long hike with plenty of ups and downs, penetrating the inequivalent landscape of the makhtesh.
The trail is actually section 39 of the Israel National Trail and so we will be following the orange-white-blue trail marks.
Prism-shaped rocks, colorful sands and an abundance of fossils are just a few of the things we’ll come across on this strenuous path. Water is not one of them so we’ll carry alot on our backs.
We will make it to Beerot campground by dusk, surly tired and very happy, and that’s where we’ll spend our last night – under a sky full of stars in the depth of the desert.
